The government hinged its decision on what it described as unruly and uncultured behaviour of the union leaders which resulted in violent attacks on members and the innocent citizens.

The government however, said the indefinite suspension did not affect RTEAN who comported themselves in a peaceful manner

The state government had earlier ordered the suspension of the activities of NURTW and RTEAN for two weeks over imminent power tussles among the union leaders where government warned against violence in any part of the state.

The two factions within the union had on Tuesday engaged in a free for all during which one member was allegedly killed and many vehicles vandalised.
