Ogun State Government has handed over two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule, who regained their freedom from the hands of kidnappers to their parents.
Speaking with newsmen at the Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan Abeokuta, the Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Waheed Odusile, said the abducted students were rescued unharmed.
Alhaji Odusile, who commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for the prompt rescue of the abducted students reiterated the present administration’s resolv to give priority to the security of lives and property.
While handing over the abducted students to their parents, the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker, said the victims were in stable health condition and would only be treated for bruises.
Also, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology Professor, Abayomi Arigbabu said the state government was committed to providing conducive learning environment and gave the assurance that security would be beefed up in all campuses.
