Life they say begins at 40 but for the Chief Medical Director of General Hospital, Idanre, Dr Kayode Omisogbon, the starting point is 50.

This explains why the Dr Omisogbon gathered family members, friends, colleagues and well wishers to commemorate his golden jubilee in Akure with a thanksgiving service.

The Redeemed Christian church of God, Grace temple parish Bolajoko Oke-Aro, Akure, venue of the golden jubilee celebration was filled to capacity as royal families, captains of industry, friends and families dressed gorgeously, all for the man many described as a philanthropist.

The Pastor in charge of the church, Sylvester Adebayo in a message titled “wisdom for living” and taken from the  book of Psalms admonished Nigerians to always show gratitude to God for everything and demonstrate love to fellow humans.

Pastor Adebayo also encouraged christians to be committed to the job they do and demonstrate the act of gratitude while also serving God and humanity diligently.

In a speech, the Lisagha of Idanre kingdom, High Chief Olatunji Rufus spoke glowingly of Dr Omisogbon saying his efforts to ensure quality healthcare services for the people of the community through improved medical facilities and other gestures was highly commendable.

Speaking with Positive Fm, the celebrant, Dr Omisogbon noted that attaining the age of fifty was by the grace of God even as he expressed gratitude to those who had in one way or the other contributed to his success story.

Special prayers were offered for the medical expert and his family.

Some of the dignitaries that graced the thanksgiving service included the Ondo state head of service, Mr John Adeyemo and the Owa of Idanre Oba Fredrick Aroloye represented by his wife,  Olori Morenike Aroloye

Highpoint of the event was the conferment of the tittles, The great changer of The Redeemed  Christians Church of God, Grace temple and the Atunluse of Idanre land on Dr Omisogbon.
