Couples have been urged to live with one another in love and understanding for a peaceful marriage.
The Chairman league of Imams & Alfas and the Chief Imam of Owo Kingdom, Sheikh Ahmad Aladesawe gave the admonition at the Engagement and Nikkah Ceremony of Basirat Ademurewa and Aliyu Olakunle in Owo.
Sheikh Aladesawe told the wife to be submissive to the husband and urged the husband to take good care of the wife for a successful marriage and peaceful home.
The Chief Imam who charged the couples to trust each other, appealed to both parents not to interfere in the couple’s affairs and support them with prayers.
Addressing the newly wedded, the Chairman of the Occasion, the Immediate past Zonal Director Of FRCN Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaji Mohammed Bello admonished the couples to respect the altar of marriage by living Godly life worthy of emulation.
The Nikkah ceremony was attended by, General Managers of Positive FM Akure, Mr Tunde Abiodun, Progress FM Ado Ekiti, Mr Dokun Ladele and some Management Staff of Positive FM.
Highpoint of the ceremony was the signing of Marriage certificate and presentation of symbols of Islam, Quran and Tesbaar.
