A family of five from Ajowa Akoko In Akoko northwest local government area of Ondo state who came home for Easter holiday break are now victims of kidnapping on their way back to Abuja, their base.

The head of the family, Mr Ibrahim Olusa a native of Daja Ajowa and his wife and children were abducted at gun point by hoodlums between Ajowa Akoko and Ayere in kogi state.

This has created tension and anxiety among residents of the town.

Family source revealed to positive fm  that the kidnappers have contacted the family demanding 10million naira as ranson before the victims could be released.

A resident of Ajowa Akoko and the immediate past chairman of Ajowa Akoko community council Mr Ajayi Bakare attributed the kidnapping and robberies on the Ajowa Ayere  road to the deplorable section belonging to kogi state.

Mr Bakare appealed to government to rehabilitate the road to enhance free flow of vehicles.

Efforts to speak with divisional police officer DPO, Okeagbe Akoko Supretendent of police Olu Akinwande were unsucessful.
