The two factions in the leadership crisis that engulfed the Ondo State Council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW have signed a peace accord with the State House of Assembly.

The factions led by the suspended State Chairman, Mr Jacob Adebo Idajo and his embattled Deputy, Mr Gbenga Ijalade agreed to sheath their sword pending the intervention of the lawmakers.

The duo commended the leadership of the house for their intervention.

The Speaker Right Honourable Bamidele Oleyelogun along side, the Majority Leader, Mr Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi appealed to the warring factions to allow peace to reign in the state and give room for amicable resolutions of contending issues.

Mr Oleyelogun stated that the leadership of the union would be invited again for another meeting in the overall interest of all.

The embattled chairman and his deputy took joint photographs after the meeting, embracing themselves while group photograph was also taken with members of the two factions in attendance.
