Ìpàtẹ Aṣa, a cultural event earlier scheduled to hold in April 2021 has been shifted due to logistics and other contingencies.
Chairman of the Steering committee who is also Director of Public Relations And Communications, Ondo State Ministry Of Culture and Tourism, Mr Tope Akin-Adeleye made this known in a statement in Akure.
Mr Akin-Adeleye said the event will now hold on the 25/26 of May 2021 at the Ondo State Cultural Centre, Adegbemile, Akure.
The President of the Yoruba Heritage Group, Omo’ba Segun Adesemoye who is the main organiser of the event also confirmed the new date and regretted the shift in date.
Also, the Director of Media and Publicity, Ìpàtẹ Àṣà 2021, Yomi Adebayo Gbenga assured people that the development would ensure a more successful outing for the cultural event.
The organisers apologised to sponsors, partners, participants and other stakeholders saying that the action is in the best interest of all.
Ìpàtẹ Aṣa is an event organised by the Yoruba Heritage Group in partnership with the Ondo State Government through the ministry of culture and tourism development and it is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of the Yorùbá people.
The components of the event include exhibition of cultural arts, crafts and traditions of the Yoruba nation, a beauty pageant tagged Omidan Àṣà, a lecture and awards to reward selfless service and contributions to community development.
