Ayede-Ogbese Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State On Thursday rolled out the drums to join Positive Fm Akure in the celebration of its 19th Anniversary.

Both male and female chiefs in the community who were dressed in gorgeous attires converged on the palace to receive the management and staff of the radio station amid funfair as the regent of the town, Princess Bukola Akinyede hosted them to an anniversary lunch.

Addressing the gathering, the Regent, Princess Akinyede said she decided to host Positive fm staff  because of its unbiased reportage and other special programmes.

Princess Akinyede who implored the to cite a satellite office in the community also urged the state government to fulfil its electoral promise of building an international market  and agro allied industries for the community as they were ready to donate one hundred and twenty acres of land for the projects.

In a remark, the General Manager Positive fm, Mr Tunde Abiodun who appreciated the regent for hosting him and his staff expressing the hope that the station and Ayede Ogbese community would foster a more cordial relationship for the development of both parties.

Mr Abiodun promised that the station would continue to touch the lives of people especially at the grassroots positively in accordance with the vision and mission of Radio Nigeria.

Chairman of the Anniversary Committee and head of the station’s ICT Unit, Mr Lanre Oluwateru expressed joy that Positive FM had gone beyond being transient adding that the week long event would end on Sunday with a thanksgiving at the Faith Empire church in Akure.

Other members of staff including the managers of various departments appreciated God for seeing them through in all ramifications.

Highpoint of the event was various displays by cultural troupes in the community.

Positive FM established on Saturday twentieth of April, 2002 by the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is one of the thirty-two FM stations founded to lift the standard of broadcasting in the media industry.
