The President, Complementary and Alternative medical Association of Nigeria, Prof Adewale Baderinwa has stressed the need to embrace other forms of medicine in the face of limitations of orthodox medcine.

Professor Baderinwa made this known while declaring open the Certificate & Diploma courses of Lopsam Institute of Natural Medicine in Akure.

Professor Baderinwa who noted that the outbreak of covid 19 had opened up the frontiers of natural medicine explained that it was high time the practitioners embraced best practices that will reduce bias and promote their medicines.

In an address of welcome , the Chief medical Director Lopsam Natural Health clinic and Director Lopsam Institute of Natural Medicine, Akure, Dr (Mrs) Kemi Aladesanmi who said the Diploma and certificate courses were put together to develop and afford individuals and practitioners opportunity to acquire professional certificates pointed out that experts had been drawn across the field of natural medicine to impart the participants.

Dr Aladesanmi who noted that natural medicine has come to stay said having an army of professionals in the field of  natural medicine would facilitate more tenable medicines as well as governments recognition.

while highlighting some of the courses to include Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Drug Preparation, Hygiene & Packaging, Ethics and Jurisprudence among others maintained that participants were expected to operate with distinction in Natural medicine at the completion of the program.
