Violence has reportedly erupted in Ikare Akoko, Ondo state Over Olokoja Chieftancy tittle.
The development is said to have resulted In destruction of property as some cars parked along the road in the ancient town were damaged. 
Sporadic gunshots were also heard within the town as residents scampered to safety.
Police Pubic Relations Officer in Ondo state, Mr Tee Leo Ikoro who confirmed the incident said no casualty had been recorded.
Mr Ikoro noted that security Operatives had been deployed to strategic locations in the town to bring the situation under control.
