Celebrating achievements in all sphere of life has always been narrowed towards discipline as well as handwork in any areas of life.
To this end, the 3rd foundation lecture day of Federal Polytechnic Ileoluji reflects hugely on the numerous achievements the institution is rolling out courtesy of the management despite several challenges facing its amidst covid19 outbreak.
At the lecture venue, the main auditorium of the institution was filled to capacity with academics as well as students who thronged the occasion to be part of the auspicious event.
Speaking on the theme of the lecture: Nigeria Polytechnics and the Challenge of Relevance in the Post Covid19 World, the guest lecturer, Professor Michael Faborode submitted that the success of every country was dependent on the ability of such nation to invest massively on higher education which had been the major problem stunting the nation growth today in Nigeria..
Professor Faborode submitted that governments at all levels must embrace positive disposition towards the growth of higher education including Polytechnics.
Earlier, Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, represented by the Chief of Staff, Mr Olugbenga Ale, hinted that the state government had put several measures in place to curtail security challenge triggered by the rampaging herdsmen across the sunshine state.
Speaking on the success of the institution so far , Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ileoluji, Professor Emmanuel Fasakin submitted that the institution was on a progressive path looking at its numerous achievements including a befitting Information Technology Centre, ICT, among others
Many Dignitaries from all walks of life including the host traditional ruler, the Jegun of Ileoluji, Oba Oluwole Olufaderin, the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo graced the occasion.
