It was a promise fulfilled when the minority leader , Ondo state house of Assembly, Mr Rasheed Elegbeleye laid the foundation of the proposed school hall of Ikare Grammar School in Ikare Akoko.

At a well attended event to mark the moment, Mr Elegbeleye a Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) member representing Akoko north east constituency said despite irregular emoluments and non release of funds for constituency projects, he ensured that his constituents benefit from his representation at the assembly

He disclosed that he had also contributed to repairs of damaged boreholes, assisted youths and other age-groups including support for many other projects across the 13 wards in the constituency.

Mr Elegbeleye however pledged not to relent but continue to make the people enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Speaking on behalf of the communities leaders , Chief Gabriel Oyelade, The Elekan of Ekan-Ikare and Chief Ganiyu Imam, Olodeke of Ekan – Ikare lauded the lawmaker for living up to expectation as it was common with many politicians to jettison their promises.

The School principal, Mr.Adeshina Olaniyi and the PTA Chairman Mr. Bamiduro Idowu also appreciated the lawmaker gesture which they described as timely for the school hall which had been in ruins for many years.
