The new Owa Ale of Ikare, Oba Adeleke Adegbite Adedoyin has received his staff of office and instrument of appointment.

Presenting instrument to the monarch in Ikare,  Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu urged traditional rulers to act within their jurisdictions to avoid communal crises.

Governor Akeredolu Represented by his  Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa urged them to take security matters seriously towards ending criminalities in their domains.

He said government alone could not end crime hence the need for support of monarchs to secure the land.

Governor Akeredolu however called on the people of Ikare Akoko to maintain the existing peace after the Olokoja Chieftancy crisis that recently rocked the town.

In an acceptance speech, the newly installed Owa Ale of Ikare, Oba Adeleke Adegbite Adedoyin assured the government and  people of Ondo state that he would do everything possible to bring development to the town.

On his part, the President, 130 crowns of Ondo State and the Akapinsa of Ipinsa, Oba Omoniyi Olufunmilayo urged the new king to follow the footsteps of his father.

One of the residents who is the CAN chairman, Ikare, pastor Oluwaseun Bolarinwa thanked God for the successful installation.

Traditional rulers across Akokoland, religious leaders and political stalwarts attended the event.
