Nigerian Students have been advised to take a stand on national issues even before the nation’s political leaders.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu gave the advice in Akure during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the national Association of Nigerian students, NANS
Governor Akeredolu encouraged the students to be concerned about issues affecting the public and to also protect the interests of its members, so as not to breach the confidence reposed in them.
The governor urged them to make their position known as timely as possible on issues such as kidnapping of students banditry, rape and open grazing in the country
Earlier, NANS President, Mr Sunday Asefon had recognised various roles played by Governor Akeredolu towards a better society, implored him to keep the flag flying
Mr Asefon described youths as the nations future leaders and pledged to be proactive on national matters as well as issues affecting fellow students across the country.
