The All Progressives Congress, APC, Ondo state Chapter has expelled two governorship aspirants on its platform for anti-party activities.
The duo are Mrs Jumoke Anifowose-Ajasin and Dr Nath Adojutelegan
The decision is in line with Article 21 of the APC Constitution.
Addressing a news conference in Akure, the State Spokesman of the party, Mr Alex Kalejaye said the wards of both Mrs Anifowoshe and Dr Adojutelegan had also suspended and subsequently expelled the two former Governorship aspirants in Owo and Akoko Northwest local government areas of the state.
Mr Kalejaye noted that their expulsion from the party would be communicated to the national secretariat of the APC in line with the law.
The APC Spokesman added that both Mrs Anifowoshe and Dr Adojutelegan had been given fair hearing by the APC fact finding committee to defend themselves, and dismissed insinuation that the expulsion was due to litigation instituted by them against the party and Governor Akeredolu.
