Religious leaders in Imo state have called on aggrieved persons or groups in the area to sheath their sword and work towards returning peace in the troubled state.
The Prelate Methodist Church Nigeria His Eminence Dr. Samuel Uche made the call while briefing newsmen after a meeting between Heads of Churches and the Governor of the state chief Hope Uzodimma in government house Owerri.
Dr. Uche said religious leaders were worried over the spate of insecurity in Imo and gave the assurance that steps would be taken to reconcile individuals no matter the differences.
Dr. Uche cautioned youths against making themselves willing tools in the hands of mischief makers noting that violence was never the solution to problems.
