A popular Ikare Akoko based book seller,  Mr Nneka Erondu and his friend, a PDP Chieftain, Femi Adeniyi kidnapped on their way to Kabba in Kogi state last week have regained freedom from their abductors.

The duo of Erondu and Adeniyi were reportedly released on Monday evening after spending 6days in the kidnappers’ den.

While Mr Femi Adeniyi was sighted in the midst of families and well wishers who came to rejoice with the two friends at semusemu area in Ikare,  Mr Erondu was said to have been taken to an undisclosed hospital for Check up.

Positive fm gathered that the abductors had demanded a sum of #10million as ransom for them to release the two men.

The situation was said to have generated tension among members of their families.

No one could however confirm if the ransom was paid or not.
