The people of Idanre Local governmnet in Ondo state could not have asked for a better representative at the Ondo state house of assembly than Hon Festus Akingbaso of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The people who overwhelming gave him their votes in 2019 are full of praises to the lawmaker who has in many ways impacted positively on their lives.
Hon Akingbaso in marking his second year in the assembly recently inaugurated many developments projects which he promised his constituents during electioneering campaign.
The commemorative ceremonies which spanned a period of two days witnessed majorly commissioning of projects situated across the local government.
The projects are renovated Onisere comprehensive school Ofosu, Asiegbo camp primary school along Owena, Idanre and CAC grammar school in Atosin Idanre as well as a newly constructed toilet facilities at Alade Idanre market,
Others included a market in Idanre, Laying of foundation for a office for the Department of State Service, DSS In Idanre, donation of motorcycles to police station in Idanre and its environs and donation of a bus and cheque of one point five million naira to the national association of idanre students.
The principal of Onisere comprehensive school, Ofosu Mr Idowu Clement who could not hide his joy over the new lease of life given the students and staff of the school said the move by Hon Akingbaso to renovate schools was a good initiative worthy of emulation by all politicians.
Speaking to Positive fm, Mr Festus Akingbaso said he would not relent in implementing policies and projects that would improve the standard of living of his people despite the nation’s dwindling economy.
While thanking the people of his constituency for supporting him in his political journey, Mr Akingbaso popularly known as FessyWest appealed to them to keep faith with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and assured them of more projects aimed at making life better for them.a
At a get together and dinner to round off the second anniversary, PDP chairman in Ondo state Mr Fatai Adams described Mr Akingbaso as a grassroots politician who is passionate about developing his people was done due to his passion for development of his people urging the people of Idanre to always support him to do more.
Also speaking, the senator representing Ondo central senatorial district, Ayo Akinyelure eulogised the lawmaker for his good works promising that the PDP would continue to rally round its members in the quest to better the lots of the people.
