It was a moment of joy and fulfilment as the first journalist Permanent Secretary in Ondo State Ministry of Information and Orientation, Mrs Julianah Folabi-Fayeun bowed out of service after attaining the compulsory retirement age of Sixty.

The pen’s down occasion was attended by families, friends, colleagues as well as  media executives in Ondo state including the General Manager, Radio Nigeria Positive FM, Akure, Mr Tunde Abiodun, and his counterpart from NTA, Akure, Mr Segun Ojelade.

After the Pen’s down formalities, people took turn to eulogise Mrs Folabi-Fayeun and what she stood for while she served meritoriously in the Ondo state civil service.

Members of staff of the ministry of Information where Mrs Folabi-Fayeun had worked for many years even before becoming a permanent secretary turned up in large number to honour the woman whom they all referred to as an amazon.

They also described her as a humble and dedicated person who was always emotionally balanced and ready to sacrifice all for the task ahead.

 

In her remarks, The celebrant, Mrs Julie Folabi-Fayeun thanked God for the opportunity to serve humanity and also recognized the supports received from her colleagues and subordinates throughout her career.

Mrs Folabi-Fayeun was sworn in as the permanent secretary for the ministry of information and orientation by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on the 10th of March this year before her retirement.
