Markets in all towns within the four local government Akoko Area of Ondo State will be shut Today to honour one of their illustrious son, late prophet T.B Joshua whose remains are being buried in Lagos.
Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, an indigene of Arigidi Akoko In Akoko Northwest local government died on the 5th of June, 2021 at the age of 57yrs.
The Iyalaje of Ikare Akoko, Alhaja Risikat Mohammed disclosed this in a statement.
Alhaja Mohammed said the Iyalajes and Iyalojas in Akokoland decided to honour the late T.B Joshua by shutting down their businesses in view of his positive impacts on Akokoland and its people.
She observed that no sacrifice was too much to make as a mark of honour for the philanthropist.
Supporting the decision of the market women, another woman leader, Chief Ebun Oladunni said the closing of markets would also afford the women the opportunity to watch the burial rites of late T.B Joshua Taking Place in Lagos via cable T.V.
