A veteran journalist and media consultant, Hon. Tajudeen Alani Oladipupo, has been sworn in as the Vice Chairman of Ejigbo Local Government of Osun State, Southwest Nigeria.
Hon. Oladipupo took the oath of office along with other members of the Local Government Caretaker Committee by the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Gbolahan Ayegbayo.
Oladipupo, an HND graduate of Mass Communication, was born over five decades ago in Ejigbo, Osun State.
He had his primary education at AUD Primary School and proceeded to AUD High School, all in Ejigbo, after which he studied Mass Communication at ND level at The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
The new Vice Chairman proceeded to Ogun state Polytechnic, Abeokuta <span;>(now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic)<span;> for his HND programme in Mass Communication and graduated in 1992.
He served as a youth corps member with Uyo-based Akwa Ibom state-owned newspaper (The Pioneer) in 1993. He was the Managing Editor of Gbelegbo newspaper from 1989 to 2009 before venturing into media consultancy and printing.
He has been in politics for many years and was appointed the Special Adviser to Ejigbo Local Government Chairman on Media and Special Duties between 2004 and 2007.
Oladipupo also belongs to many community development associations and clubs, including Ejigbo Local Government Development Association and Ejigbo Royal Connection..
Meanwhile, the General manager of Radio Nigeria Positive fm Akure, Asiwaju Samson Tunde Abiodun who is a childhood friend and old school mate of the Vice chairman has congratulated him on his new appointment.
Mr Abiodun wished him a remarkable tenure
