Ondo State government has formally received survivors of a recent attack on some of its residents in Plateau state.
The incident claimed 28 lives and left many injured.

The victims who were northerners, residing in Ondo State, were on their way from Bauchi state where they had gone to attend a religious programme but were attacked in some troubled areas of Plateau state.
The state’s deputy governor, Prof. Sanni Tyoden led the survivors to Akure.

Ondo state deputy governor, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa received them on behalf of the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in Akure, the State capital.
Governor Akeredolu who said the incident was a case of mistaken identityc commended Plateau state government for its prompt action towards saving the injured.

The leader of the delegation and Deputy governor of Plateau State, Prof Sanni Tyoden regretted the incident urging the affected victims to forgive the perpetrators and still see them as brothers.
Earlier, the South West Chairman, Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Mohammed Kabil had condemned the killing of the people who went on religious tour.
Alhaji Mohammed however assured Nigerians that there would be no reprisal attack.
