A chifetain of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Pastor Rapheal Ademulegun has suggested that states should be allowed to handle the issue of security for a better result.

Pastor Ademulegun gave this position when he featured on positive FM’s programme,  POLITICAL PODIUM.

He was of the opinion that even though the issue of insecurity was being tackled by the federal government, state government needed to be empowered for such task as well since a higher percentage of crime was committed in states.

Speaking on the internal wrangling within the Peoples Democratic Party at the national level, Pastor Ademulegun believed that the October convention was the panacea to all grievances.

On the issue of combining a pastoral work with politics, the PDP chieftain said there was nothing worng in ministers of God venturing into politics as such would help right the wrongs in the society.

Pastor Ademulegun posited that politics was not dirty as most people believed but the players often made it so hence the need for politicians to be of good conduct while pursuing their ambitions.

He said “politics is not dirty, the way you play it matters, politicians should check themselves”

Pastor Ademulegun charged the senator representing Ondo South senatorial District to do more in the area of youth and women empowerment.
