It was a pensive atmosphere at St David’s Anglican Cathedral Akure with large turnout of Political Associates, religious and communities leaders ,Families and Friends from all walks of life who attended the funeral service of the late Chief Adedayo Omolafe to bid him farewell
Omolafe popularly known as Expensive was until his death a member , House of Representatives representing Akure South/ Akure North federal constituency.
The Bishop of Akure Anglican diocese, Right Revd.Simeon Borokini described Omolafe as a loyal, dutiful, caring and down to earth politician, loved by all
He said Omolafe’s political ideology cut across all political parties and would be greatly missed by his immediate family , the church , members of his party , the PDP and admirers asking them to emulate his legacies
Dignitaries that attended the service included Representative of Ondo State Governor and commissioner for justice, Charles Titiloye, Former Deputy Governor, Omolade Oluwateru, Deputy Governor , Agboola Ajayi, PDP Gubernatorial Candidate , Eyitayo Jegede, Senator Ayo Akinyelure, Chairman ,Ondo State council of Obas and Deji of Akure , Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi represented by Chief Joseph Ojo Omoniyi and Bishop of Owo Anglican diocese , Dr Fagbemi
Others were PDP State Chairman, Mr Fatai Adams, APC acting state Chairman , Chief Ade Adetimehin , House of Reps members , Ikengboju Gboluga, Timehin Adelegbe , former governor’s wife , Olukemi Mimiko , GM Positive FM , Mr Tunde Abiodun represented by head of ICT , Mr Lanre Oluwateru.
