Popular Osun State based broadcaster, Otunba Olatunbosun Abe also known as “Hin pele o” has died.
Positive fm gathered that Otunba Abe died during a brief illness.
Hinpele o worked for more than 30 years across many local radio stations in the Southwest including Radio Nigeriaa Gold fm, Ilesha Osun state and Sunshine fm Akure, Ondo state.
Some of his fans who paid tributes to him on the social media eulogised him for his positivity and kindness.
“This is such sad news,” Hinpele o lovers on social media said. “The most positive, warm and encouraging person. Pleased that our paths crossed and devastated that he has been taken from us. Sometimes life just isn’t far.”
“Hinpele o was a great broadcaster and a brilliant man. He loved sports and radio so had the perfect job,” said radio sports news editor.
“You could hear the excitement in his voice when he was doing Hinpele O program on air. He had a long and successful career at the Gold Fm – 30 years at many of our local radio stations, and for the past 10 of those years he also worked for Gold Fm.
“He will be much missed by his colleagues and listeners to Gold Fm radio. Our thoughts are with his family at this terrible time.”
