The Chief Imam of Akureland, Alhaji Abdulakeem Yayi-Akorede has cautioned Nigerians against inordinate ambition, describing ill-gotten wealth as ticket to hell

Alhaji Akorede gave the advice at a Thanksgiving Jumat service in commemoration of Ulefunta festival, the annual celebration of Deji of Akure, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo

 

The Islamic leader observed that many had resorted to cutting corners to get rich quickly and encouraged Muslims not to be led astray by the current economic challenge facing the nation

Alhaji Akorede who therefore challenged Nigerians to renew their relationship with God also charged Muslims to emulate prophet Muhammad in their services to humanity by being humble kind and tolerant.

While praising Oba Aladetoyinbo for his commitment to the development of Akureland, , the chief Imam described the monarch as the people’s choice who had attracted numerous blessings to the land as well as his people.

 

Addressing the faithful, Oba Aladetoyinbo who is the Chairman of ondo State council of Obas reaffirmed his Commitment to the progress of Akure land, Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

Oba Aladetoyinbo announced that the festival would continue on Saturday at the MKO Abiola democracy park in the capital city.
