There is anxiety and panic in a farm settlement in Ajowa Akoko, Akoko Northwest local government area of Ondo state as the lifeless body of a man was discovered in a bush in the farm.

Police investigation showed that a cow was also seen wounded at the scene of the incident.

The divisional police officer,  DPO for okeagbe Akoko, a Supretendent of police, SP Unnah Paulinus confirmed that a corpse was recovered from a distance forest in Ajowa area and had already been deposited at the state specialist hospital Ikare Akoko while investigation on the case is on going.

Meanwhile,  traditional rulers in Akoko northwest local government area have called on people to respect the law forbidden open grazing in ondo state in order to ensure lasting peace in communities.

The chairman of the traditional council and the Akala of Ikaram of Akoko oba Andrew momodu advocated the need for all towns and villages in the area to organise local vigilante group and local hunters that will compliment efforts of the available regular security agents.

The monarchs viewed the shortage of manpower in police force as a serious problem which the federal government must address urgently.
