A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in the Southern Senatorial Districts of Ondo State, Chief Mathew Oyerinmade-Mato has emphasized on the importance of State policing to curb incessant crime across the country.

Chief Oyerinmade-Mato stated this in an interview with Positive Fm noted that security challenges should not be left in the hands of security agencies alone but must be a collective responsibility.

The APC chieftain blamed the ugly trend on lack of political will in taking decisive actions at addressing the social menace.

While stressing on the adverse effects of insecurity on businesses, Chief Oyerinmade-Mato noted that many people have fled the country for safety and enabling environment.

The astute politician commended the South-West Security Network, codenamed Amotekun initiative at reducing the spate of insecurity in the participating states.

Chief Oyerinmade-Mato emphasized that the Nation’s policing system should be decentralized for effectiveness and all inclusiveness.

The APC senatorial hopeful added that Nigerians should be more security conscious and alert security operatives of any impending challenge.
