President Muhammadu Buhari, has called on Nigerians to join hands in prayers for the country to overcome its present challenges.
President Buhari, made the call at the eleventh national pray breakfaster organized by the Christian Legislators Forum of the National Assembly with the theme, Faith in a time of Crisis.
The President who was represented by the permanent Secretary in the office of the secretary to the government of the Federation, Mr Maurice Abaeri said prayer was a source of strength regardless of religion.

The president stated that though it is very difficult to keep faith in times of crises, prayer have always been the foundation of strength.
The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, who was represented by the Aso Rock Chaplain, Pastor Seyi Molomo, urged Nigerians to leverage on God’s Providence in overcoming challenges confronting the Nation through Faith.
The president of the Senate, who was represented by the deputy leader of the Senate, Senator Ajayi Boroffice,. said the critical time the country has found itself calls for unity, deep reflection and prayers to overcome the challenges.
The Chairman of the Forum National Assembly Senator Emmanuel Bwacha stated that the christian group is a non partisan congregation of lawmakers of likeminds to create an environment of dialogue and build lasting relationships irrespective of political opinions, perceptions or convictions.
Senator Bwacha added that the theme of this year’s prayer faith in Christ in time of crisis was chosen in consideration of the situation the nation is in.
The guest speaker and presiding Bishop, Living Faith church, Goshen city Abuja, Bishop David Abioye, said faith is the answer to the nation’s problems.
Highlights of the event included Prayers for the nation, leaders, the three arms of goverment, peace and unity, security as well as growth and development.
