The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun has identified capacity building as a requisite ingredient for sustenance of the current democratic culture in Nigeria.

Mr Oleyelogun was speaking in Owo, at a capacity building workshop organised for lawmakers in the Ondo State House of Assembly.


The Speaker according to a statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Information Youth and Sports Development, Mr Olugbenga Omole in a keynote address observed that the occasion would provide avenue for participants to learn new things and exchange ideas that would enhance the lawmakers performance.

Mr Oleyelogun appreciated the organisers of the workshop for affording the lawmakers a rare opportunity to further enrich their knowledge.

The Speaker noted that the workshop was well-conceived as it was coming at a time when preparations were in top gear for the House Committees on Finance and Appropriation and the Public Accounts to hold their respective Public Sittings on the year 2022 Appropriation Bill recently transmitted to the House by the State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
