Suspected bandits have attacked the staff quarters of the University of Abuja in the early hours of today.
The head of information and public relations of the University Dr Habib Yakoob confirmed the incident to newsmen.
Dr Yakoob said two professors and their children as well and as two other staff of the University were abducted by the bandits.
The Chairman of the academic staff union universities ,ASUU, UNIABUJA chapter, Dr. Kassim Umaru, also confirmed the abduction.
Dr Umaru identified those kidnapped as Professor Obansa and his son; Professor Oboscolo, his son and daughters, as well as Dr Tobins.
The incident was said to have occurred at about 1:00am at the senior staff quarters in Giri in Gwagwalada Area Council of the nation’s capital.
