The incidence of Building collapse in the nation can be curbed when proper measures are put in place by stakeholders to check quackery in the building industry

The President institute of estate surveyor and valuers of Nigeria, Mr Emmanuel Wike made the remark on Wednesday while addressing newsmen in Akure.

Mr Wike who expressed displeasure over perennial building collapse in the nation particularly with the recent one in Lagos charged the media to work in synergy towards exposing quacks in the building profession in order not to endanger people’s lives.

He called on ondo state Governor Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to establish valuers General office and rating department across the eighteen local governments in the state.
