The Ondo State House of Assembly has passed into law, a bill to amend the Appropriation Law 2021 and for matter incidental thereto.
To this end, the Lawmakers at a plenary after the billed passed third reading approved the pooling of the sum of Three Billion, One Hundred and Ninety-Six Million, Five Hundred and Eighty-One Thousand Naira only from recurrent expenditure component of thé 2021 Budget and the re-allocation of the funds among existing programmes within the recurrent component without any alteration to the Budget size.
The House also approved the pooling of the Nine Billion, Nine Hundred and Seventy-Four Million, One Hundred and Forty-Five Thousand Naira only from capital expenditure component of the 2021 Budget and the re-allocation of the funds amongst existing projects in the capital expenditure component without any alteration to the Budget size.
At the sitting presided over by the Speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun, the Lawmakers approved that the State Government should ensure that the provision of the re-ordered funds are conscientiously applied to the needs stated therein so that the good intention behind the dispensation would be fully attained.
