The student of University of Ilorin, Salaudeen Waliu Aanuoluwa who assaulted a female lecturer of the Department of Microbiology has been expelled after being found guilty of assault by management of the University.
A statement by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, disclosed that the verdict was handed down by the Student Disciplinary Committee, where Salaudeen was arraigned.
It states that Mr Salaudeen who was a 400 level student of the Department of Microbiology before his expulsion has 48 days to appeal against the verdict if he feels dissatisfied with the decision
According to the statement, Salaudeen has since been handed over to the police for further necessary action.
Salaudeen was reported to have allegedly beaten a female lecturer, Mrs Rahmat Zakariaya to comma, before he was apprehended by the university security.
