The Ondo state Government has charged the state contingent to this year’s National Festival of Arts and Culture, otherwise known as NAFEST 21 to make the state proud by winning laurels for the state.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs Boladale Akinyanmu made this known as she led the state contingent to Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital which is the host of the event.

Mrs Akinyanmi revealed that the state contingent would be participating in both competitive and non- competitive competitions that include, drama competition, children’s craft competition, children essay writing, indigenous fabrics fashion competition, Nigeria fabrics interior decoration as well as traditional board game otherwise known as ‘ayo olopon’ among others.

The festival which has the theme, ‘celebrating national unity in diversity’ was declared open by the Ekiti state Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi at Ekiti Parapo Pavillon, in Ado Ekiti yesterday

National Festival of Arts and Culture is a rotational annual festival among the 36 states of the federation including the FCT showcasing the cultural heritage of Nigeria

The weeklong festival which started on November 13th will end on November 20th
