The 2021 Survey week of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors , NIS Ondo State has been rounded off with a spectacular get-together for the surveyors.
Venue of the event was filled with families , friends and associates of the surveyors cooling off with sumptuous meals and nice music
Justice Idowu Kolawole during a talk encouraged the surveyors to always be thorough with their documentations.
At the event, The Ondo State commissioner for lands and infrastructure , Mr Raimi Aminu was given an award which the body described as well deserved
The commissioner represented by the permanent secretary in the ministry , Mr Idowu Owolabi – Allen reiterated the commitment of Akeredolu’s administration to transforming the state.
Another significant event of the get together was the recognition and presentation of awards to the driver with the NIS , Mr Niyi Akinkuowo
Mr Akinkuowo who had worked with NIS for ten years without blemish was praised for his dexterity , humility , hard work and for being prayerful.
Mr Akinkuowo along with a former staff of Radio Nigeria Positive FM , Mr Gbenga Bernard were both also declared honorary fellows of NIS for their long time service to the NIS Ondo State
The Chairman NIS Ondo State , Mrs Helen Fakorede , fnis appreciated God for the year with a call on surveyors to forge ahead in line with the theme of this year’s survey week – Developing Ethical and Professional Efficiency
NIS National Vice President , Dr Matthew Ibitoye, fnis, Chairman, Board of fellows, Surveyor Ayo Fadipe, fnis and other notable personalities including GM Positive FM , Mr Tunde Abiodun attended the event.
