The Ondo State House of Assembly has concluded the screening exercise for commissioner nominees whose names were forwarded to the house last week by the state government.
Recall that nine were screened on Monday while the remaining five were slated for Wednesday.
Addressing Assembly correspondents after the exercise, Chairman of the Selection Committee and the Speaker, Mr. Bamidele Oleyelogun noted that it became imperative for the legislature to embark on the exercise in order to bring out the best for the state.
Mr Oleyelogun who spoke through the Vice Chairman of the Committee and the Deputy Speaker, Revd Samuel Aderoboye noted that the committee left no stone unturned during the period and ensured things were in line with constitutional provisions.
While commeding the nominees for their cooperation during the process, he stated that the committee would submit its report to the house for ratification.
Two of the screened Commissioner nominees, Mr. Wale Akinlosotu and Otunba Dele Ologun described the exercise as unbiased, stressing that they are ready to contribute their quota to the development of the state .
On their part, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju and Mrs. Bamidele Olateju while appreciating Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the nominations, both said it was a call to serve the people.
