The much celebrated Owa of Idanre’s 45th Coronation Anniversary climaxed on Saturday as the hilly Community played host to sons and daughters as well as friends of the town.
The monarch Oba Fredrick Adegunle Aroloye ascended the throne of his forefathers in 1976.
As at 11am, Olofin Anglican Grammar School field was already a beehive of activities as the venue was filled to capacity.
Many traders in the town also closed their shops to be part of the grand finale of the week long activities.
Welcoming the gathering who adorned a branded ankara aso-ebi, Chairman of the anniversary committee, Dr Anthony Omolola thanked those who had donated generously towards the five hundred million naira fund raising.
Dr Omolola equally sought the support of all residents for Oba Aroloye to continue to have a peaceful reign.
He also reeled out the investment opportunities in Idanre, especially tourism urging investors to tap into such opportunities.
In a brief speech, Oba Aroloye thanked all guests for coming to honour him and prayed that God to continue to grant Idanre Land more peace and development.
The monarch used the opportunity to the sons and daughters of idanre that unity and love were needed to record more tremendous developments in the community.
Oba Aroloye thanked the anniversary committee for putting up befitting events for the celebration.
He called on Ondo State Government to provide good roads, and modern amenities on the farmsteads so as to attract the youths into modern farming.
Donations were later made by some prominent idanre indigenes and non indigenes among who were Justice Akintan Osadebey, Dr. Anthony Omolola, Major General Benson Akinroluyo, Hon. Festus Akingbaso, Professor Ralph Akinfeleye, Professor Smart Fadayomi, Dr. Kayode Omishogbon.

The Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo were some of the traditional rulers that graced the occasion.
Notable Idanre sons and daughters that present were Chief Kola Ademujimi, Hon. Dejo Adeloye, Commander Ernest Adeuti, Mrs Dolapo Omomukuyo, Erelu Sogaolu Adunola, Mr. Raphael Oyebade Speedy.
