It was a moment of commendations for the chief medical director of Idanre General Hospital Dr. Kayode Omishogbon as eminent persons gathered to recognise him as the brain behind the hospital’s transformation.
On the occasion which was part of the Owa of Idanre 45th Coronation Anniversary, the ultra modern surgical theatre personally built by the CMD after assuming duty two years was commissioned by Oba Fredrick Aroloye.
Oba Aroloye also commissioned the Children Ward built with donations from Idanre Community and Administrative Block funded by an NGO, Idanre Development Union, UK
The monarch described Dr. Omishogbon as God sent as he also bought a 21seater bus for the hospital, built a laundry and procured many equipments to upgrade the hospital all from his personal pockets.
He thereafter conferred on the CMD the traditional title of “Atuluse” of Idanre Kingdom.
The Owa’s Anniversary Committee Chairman, Dr Anthony Omolola called on idanre natives in the medical profession to provide logistic supports for the hospital.
In a speech, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health , Dr Niyi Ikuomola lauded the Chief Medical Director for his philanthropic gestures which he said were worthy of emulation.
In a remark , Dr Omishogbon said the gestures were born out of his belief to always impact positively on the lives of the people.
The event which was held as part of weeklong activities marking Oba Aroloye 45th coronation was graced by Oba Gilbert Ogunlowo , High chief Oladipo Akinsowon and others.
