Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has expressed satisfaction with the level of work done in the ongoing renovation of the Ondo State House of Assembly Complex.
Governor Akeredolu during an unscheduled visit to the Assembly Complex, expressed confidence that the project would be completed and delivered by first quarter of next year.
The level of decay in infrastructure at the complex got the attention of Governor Akeredolu last year and that prompted his intervention for urgent renovation.
Governor Akeredolu who expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far, noted that the complex when completed, would meet the status of best legislative buildings in the country.
While commending the contractor handling the project of the Assembly complex built by the then administration of late Chief Adekunle Ajasin, the Governor said the building had not been given any face lift.
Responding to the visit, the Speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun thanked Governor Akeredolu for the timely intervention, noting that the complex would be a monument when completed.
Mr Oleyelogun added that the renovation work was a legacy project of the state government which would enhance legislative procedures.
