Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has signed into law over One Hundred and Ninety-Nine point Two Billion Naira as the 2022 Budget for Ondo State government.

Governor Akeredolu said the budget was prepared based on national growth rate, the unpredictable oil price and human capital development towards education advancement, among others.

He reiterated the government support for all ongoing projects pointing out that other important projects would be added to take the state to a greater heights.

Governor Akeredolu who appreciated the legislative body for their commitment tasked the revenue bodies to look inwards with a view to supporting major intervention programs in the new year.

The governor who announced that both Legislature and judiciary autonomy had also been signed into law attributed the current peaceful atmosphere in the state to the supports from security agents, traditional rulers religious leaders among others.

Presenting the budget to governor Akeredolu for his assent, the speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun said the house had looked into the budget and had added about Seven Billion Naira to the financial documents.

The 2022 budget tagged, “budget for economic reengineering,” had a provision of One Hundred and Twelve point Nine Billion Naira as Recurrent Expenditure and Eighty Five point Six Billion Naira as Capital Expenditure.
