Radio Nigeria Ibadan has rescued five children from a suspected trafficker.
The children whose ages were between four and thirteen were rescued from where the woman was using them to beg for alms.
The children clad in uniform were being taken round the popular market to demand for money and cash from unsuspected traders.
The children in conflicting report said they attended saint Michael primary school, idi Ayunre, Ibadan while two of the children said they were from Ago iwoye in Ogun state.
The suspected trafficker
In an interview, the suspect trafficker, Mrs Abosede Omolola claimed she runs a charity home hence the need to use the children to beg.
Reacting, the chairman, Oyo state ministry of women affairs’ rapid response team on Gender based violence, Pastor Marcus Williams said the woman had some questions to answer as all her claims could not be established.
Pastor Williams assured the people that his team would locate the parents of the children.
As at the time of filling this report,the woman has been detained at bodija police station while the children were kept at a motherless home.
