Celebrating Christmas to share the love of God with others is one of the features of the season, this attests to the resolve of a Niger Delta Community leader, High Chief Bibopre Ajube marking the Yuletide in grand style with the children of Agadagba-Obon in Ese Odo local government area of Ondo State.
At the centre of the joy filled occasion were children who took delight in the Christmas celebration that went with series of dance steps, traditional display by the popular Ekemini Children Troupe from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and lots of other children activities.
Speaking during the event, two children Kingly Ajube and Joy Adebayo expressed their delight for the opportunity they had to celebrate Christmas with their colleagues at Agadagba-Obon and beyond.
In a remark , the organiser , High Chief Ajube opined that the idea behind the party was to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with the children as a means of giving them hope about the future despite the country challenges.
Chief Ajube called on the people’s representatives as well as the affluents across the nation to cultivate the habit of impacting the children lives positively in this season and beyond.
In a goodwill message wife of the organiser, Chief Mrs Leiye Ajube also called on wealthy Nigerians to mark the season with indigent children to give them a sense of belonging in the society.
Dignitaries at the event included the king of Zion, Right Reverend Orisola Jemine, Obas from Omi, Ajagba among others.
