The Secretary of the defunct National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), Chief Ayo Opadokun, has advised Nigerians to chart a workable political system instead of dissipating energy on the unsigned Electoral Act .

Speaking with journalists in Offa, Kwara state, Opadokun, said that he was unperturbed by the withholding of the presidential assent on the Electoral Act amendment.

According to him, rather than dissipating energy on the bill, Nigerians should focus on the need to have a system that works for all.

Opadokun called for the return of the country to the first republic by decentralizing the government so that the people of each region will have a say on how they are being governed .

Opadokun also suggested that a community-based solution should be applied to solve the security challenges affecting the country.
