Okerigbo hills in the university town of Akungba Akoko which has recorded many motor accidents in the past would have recorded another fatal accident if not that it occurred in the night when people when not on the popular road.

The accident occurred right at the opposite of the ever busy university gate in Akungba.

A resident of Akungba Akoko said he had a  loud noise of the long trailer loaded with cows.

In the morning about 4 shops had been destroyed while few cows died.

Positivr fm gathered that driver of the illfated vehicle and other occupants were nowhere to be found as they ran away for the fear of being lynched.

The accident occurred at a spot where a trailer killed a dozen of people including many students in 2021.

Efforts to speak with the unit commander Federal road safety Ikare Akoko unit mr Olurpo Alabi and the divisional police officer Akungba Akoko Chief superintendent of police Shakiru Ajibola was not successful as at the time of this report.

Speaking on incessant accidents at Akungba Akoko Seriki Musulumi of Akungba Akoko in Akoko southwest local government area of ondo state chief saliu Awesu proffered lasting solutions to the problems by urging government to either reduce okerigbo hills or make an alternative route from Akungba to Uba Oka to ugbe Akoko to reduce the incessant road crashes in Akungba Akoko.
