Ondo State House of Assembly has assured of its resolve to continue prioritising the interest of Members of the State assembly and staff for efficient service delivery in the interest people.
The Speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun gave the assurance while addressing the Assembly Staff at this year’s first work day prayer meeting held at the Assembly complex in Akure.
He said it was an opportunity for Legislators and Staff of the State House of Assembly to converge and thank God for seeing another year 2022 despite the various challenges that surrounded the outgone year 2021.
Mr Oleyelogun commended the Lawmakers and members of Staff of the Assembly for their dedication and hardwork towards smooth running of legislative business.
The Speaker assured of the 9th Assembly’s commitment to Staff welfare and development while urging them to be more productive.
He charged members of Staff to be diligent and dedicated to their service to humanity and commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for granting the assembly autonomy.
In a sermon, titled ” Why We Should Praise God”, Pastor Akande Ariyo emphasized on the need for members of staff to always appreciate God and walk with him in the discharge of their duties.
The Clerk of the huouse, Mr Benjamin Jaiyeola who lauded the exemplary leadership of the 9th assembly headed by Speaker, Mr Oleyelogun, assured of Staff cooperation to bring about synergy between the Lawmakers and the public.
