The ancient town of Afin Akoko in Akoko northwest local government area of ondo state was agog on Sunday, January 9, 2022 as Muraina Olabusuyi Kilani was installed the new high chief Aremo of Afinland following the approval of the Alafin, Oba Abduraheem Adejoro.
The installation rites were conducted by High chief Gege of Afin.
High chief Kilani replaces the late Aremo who died twenty years ago and both hailed from olemo dynasty in Afin Akoko.
With his new position, the new Aremo will be part of Alafin-in-council and will be joining hands with the Monarch Oba Adejoro to move the town foward.
High chief Kilani is a 53 year old public relations guru and the current public relations officer of Police secondary school Akure.
A graduate of ogun state university, Ago Iwoye, High chief Muraina Kilani is a member of many elites club and a strong member of Afin progressive union Akure branch.
Meanwhile a prominent son of the town and brother to the new high chief, Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani has congratulated him on the honour by the Alafin-in-council saying it was well deserved.
Alhaji Kilani urged the new Aremo to be a role model to both young and old in the community while also being loyal to Alafin of Afin, Oba Abduraheem Adejoro.
