The General Manager, Ondo State Sports Council, Mr Henry Babatunde says Sunshine Stars football club of Akure are set to host Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matches following their banishment to Ijebu-Ode.
Mr Babatunde stated this in an interview with Positive fm at the sports complex.
He noted that the sports council had been able to do some level of repair as demanded by the League Management Company (LMC)
The state sports council OSSC and the Ondo state football agency ODSFA had been collaborating in ensuring a speedy completion of work at the sports complex.
Sunshine Stars had been honouring its home matches at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State with the latest match against Kano Pillars where they won 3-0.
Ondo state deputy governor Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa had also promised to give the team full support to do well in the current football league and finished among top teams.
Sunshine Stars will play it’s week six encounter,in a Southwest derby, with neighbours, Shooting Stars FC at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
