The perennial blackout in the southern senatorial district of ondo state will soon become a thing of the past
The commissioner for energy, mines and natural resources, Engineer Rasaq Obe stated this at a stakeholders meeting with community leader from the area
Engineer Obe maintained that it would be out of place to see people or community that had contributed greatly to the growth of a state without electricity for so many years.
Describing electricity as a panacea to societal growth, the commissioner assured the traditional rulers that the state government would do all within its capacity to restore power supply in the axis within a limited time
Mr Obe hinted that vandalism among other obstacles in the area would be addressed and advised the people to be ready to consume electricity responsibly
Earlier, the Oniju of Ijuodo, Oba Festus Olumoyegun had explained that over thirteen years blackout in the area had dwindled their socio-economic activities
