The House of Representatives says it will reintroduce the Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2021 on Wednesday for legislative action and passage.
The Speaker, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, disclosed this while welcoming the members from the end of year break.
Mr Gbajabiamila, stated that this is to address the mitigating concerns, pass the Bill and send it back to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent.
The Speaker stressed the need to reform the nomination process by the political parties in the country
According to him, the process is as important as the general elections and would allow more participation of citizens.
On the ongoing Constitutional amendment exercise, the speaker sai priority would equally be given to the process to address the long standing areas of disagreement and conform with the current realities.
